Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in a large pot over high heat. Sear the meat until browned all over, then add onion and chili. Cook until softened.
Step 2
Add tomato past and stir for 1 minute. Then, add tomato juice, spices, and 4 cups of boiling water. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and fork tender.
Step 3
Bring to a boil, then add pasta. Reduce heat and leave to cook for 6 minutes, sitrring occassionally. Add chickpeas, cover and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
