Preparation
Step 1
Sift the flours into a large bowl and add the spices. Mix together. Add the butter and use your fingertips to rub into the flour. Do this until you have a sand-like consistency.
Step 2
Gradually pour in the oil, using a wooden spoon to combine with the flour and butter. Slowly pour in 1 cup water until you have a dough—use your hands to form into a smooth dough. Add more water if needed. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 180C. Take 2 tbsp of the dough and roll into a dall. Use your fingers to press a hole into the dough. Mix the peanut butter and toffee sauce and add a small amount to the hole. Close the dough around it.
Step 4
Flatten the dough ball and arrange on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Use a skewer to make criss-cross patterns on the biscuits then brush with egg wash.
Step 5
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
